Tug Valley ARH Regional Medical Center, formerly known as Williamson ARH Hospital, was established in 1956 as one of the nine original Miners Memorial Hospital Association facilities. The 113-bed acute care hospital, located in South Williamson, Ky., primarily serves the residents of Pike County, Ky., and Mingo County, W.Va. It operates four clinics and a retail pharmacy. Among its serves are wound care, which utilizes hyperbaric chambers, women’s and family health, oncology, neurology, ENT, general surgery, endocrinology and orthopedics. The hospital campus is also home to one of ARH’s two Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs), which are designed for patients with medical conditions requiring highly specialized care for more than 25 days.
