Middlesboro ARH Partners with SKCTC for Easter Celebration
Middlesboro ARH Hospital partnered with Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKCTC) for its second annual Celebration of Easter Miracles event at their Middlesboro campus.
Event chairs Lauren Wilson, doctor of physical therapy with Middlesboro ARH Hospital, and Jeannie Hayes, human resource assistant at SKCTC, organized and named the celebration to honor the memory of Sheila Gibbs Miracle, who was a professor of biology at SKCTC, an active member of the Middlesboro ARH Advisory Council and the mother of Lauren Wilson.
Around140 children from Middlesboro Elementary, St. Julian’s and H. Y. Livesay schools participated in the Celebration of Easter Miracles, which included an Easter Egg Hunt with surprises inside each colorful, plastic egg and snacks with the Easter Bunny.
Kacy Robbins, Middlesboro ARH physical therapy assistant, led the Easter egg hunt during the event.
“The children get so excited while hunting the eggs,” said Robbins. “We see that every child gets several eggs, candy and other surprises like colorful Easter-themed pencil erasers and stickers before they head back to school.”
