ARH Board of Trustees Appoints Angie Hatton to the ARH Foundation Board of Directors
July 1, 2024 -The Appalachian Regional Healthcare Board of Trustees has appointed Angie Hatton to the ARH Foundation for Healthier Communities Board of Directors effective immediately. In this role, Hatton’s contributions will be instrumental in supporting the ARH Foundation’s mission of furthering healthcare, education, and community involvement through philanthropy and fundraising for Appalachian Regional Healthcare.
Hatton, from Whitesburg, KY, works as an Attorney and was appointed by Governor Beshear to serve as Vice Chair of the Kentucky Public Service Commission. Previously, she served as a Kentucky State Representative for District 94.
“The ARH Foundation seeks to help create healthier communities in all the ways that matter to us here in the mountains, and I am honored to be a part of that process,” said Hatton.
The ARH Foundation has been a driving force in the flood recovery efforts in Eastern Kentucky, dispersing more than $1.5 million to date to flood victims in addition to many other charitable projects that benefited individuals across the service region.
“The results of the ARH Foundation’s direct help to individual disaster victims and community grants to organizations who make a real difference in their communities speak for themselves. When good things are happening in our communities, you’ll almost always see evidence of the Foundation at work,” said Hatton.
