MIDDLESBORO, Ky. – Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) scholarship recipients were recently recognized at a signing event at Southeast Community & Technical College, Middlesboro Campus (SKCTC). The scholars were recognized and formally signed a commitment letter to work for ARH upon graduating from the RN program.
“Events like the ARH Scholars Signing Event at Southeast CTC, give us the opportunity to celebrate our students and reflect on our commitment to building a strong workforce of healthcare leaders across our region. It’s a testament to ARH’s mission of improving health and promoting the well-being of all people in Central Appalachia as we work to ensure we’re equipped with the very best team dedicated to delivering high quality healthcare to our communities.” Dylon C. Baker, Assistant Vice President of Workforce Initiatives The ARH RN Healthcare Scholarship was implemented to help reduce the financial burden placed upon students so they can concentrate on their education and finish strong. ARH recognized that financial stress was one of the biggest factors of students not finishing their program. Many students work full-time and part-time jobs while completing their nursing program and this scholarship offers financial support to these scholars to ensure they can become successful in their healthcare career.
“Congratulations to these four remarkable nursing students who have accepted positions with Appalachian Regional Healthcare,” said Dr. Jennifer Lindon, SKCTC President. “We value our partnership with ARH, and we are proud to respond to our region’s growing need for qualified health care professionals.
