Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association and ARH to Host Free Burger Lunch for Flood Relief Volunteers and Community Members
SOUTH WILLIAMSON, KY, March 5, 2025 – This Friday, Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) and the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association will host a Kentucky Cattlemen’s Burger Lunch to show appreciation for flood relief volunteers and to support community members impacted by the recent flooding.
The event will take place in the Southside Mall parking lot, in front of the former Peebles department store building, now home to the new flood relief distribution center.
Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will be served while supplies last.
“We know so many in our community have faced unimaginable loss from these floods, and we want to offer a small gesture of kindness and support,” said Danielle Harmon, ARH Director of Community Development. “This lunch is a way for us to come together, show our gratitude for volunteers, and remind everyone that no one is alone in this recovery.”
The Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association is proud to partner with ARH to help make this event possible. “As cattle farmers, we understand the importance of neighbors helping neighbors,” said Chad Allen, a cattleman and Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Floyd County Cooperative Extension Office. “We’re honored to be part of this community meal and hope it brings a bit of comfort and fellowship to those who need it.”
Everyone is invited to come out, enjoy a meal, and connect with neighbors as we continue to support each other through this challenging time.
