Mary Breckinridge ARH Hospital Selected as 2024 KHA Quality Award Winner for Critical Access Hospitals
The Kentucky Hospital Association (KHA) Quality Team selected Mary Breckinridge ARH Hospital as the winner of the 2024 KHA Quality Award in the category for Critical Access Hospitals.
This is a significant achievement for Mary Breckinridge ARH CEO Mallie S. Napier-Noble and her team as the hospital was the only Critical Access Hospital in the state to receive this award. The team was presented with the award at the KHA Quality meeting. Mary Breckinridge’s work in the field of enhancing transitions of care through discharge process evolution was noted as exceptional and demonstrated a true commitment to ongoing innovation in how care is delivered.

Mary Breckinridge ARH Hospital, located in Hyden redesigned their operational discharge process in order to improve the transition-of-care experience for their patients. With interdisciplinary engagement and best-practice quality models, they increased patient satisfaction with care transitions by 134%.
