LEXINGTON, KY, February 26, 2025 – Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH), the ARH Foundation, and God’s Pantry Food Bank are teaming up to support Eastern Kentucky families devastated by the recent flooding. As residents stock up on groceries and other supplies this weekend, ARH encourages them to add one more item—non-perishable food, bottled water, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, or baby diapers—to their shopping carts to help those in need.
Join ARH this weekend for the Fill the Truck event with God’s Pantry Food Bank at the ARH Corporate headquarters location at 2260 Executive Drive in Lexington on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to drop off donations to help fill a 32-foot God’s Pantry semi-trailer that will be taken to ARH flood relief distribution centers in Eastern Kentucky.
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Many families have lost everything, and community support is crucial in helping them rebuild their lives.
100% of all donated supplies will go directly into the hands of those impacted by the flooding. A full list of supplies needed can be found at www.arh.org/floods.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community during this difficult time,” said Hollie Harris, ARH President and CEO. “Even the smallest donation can mean everything to someone who has lost their home, their belongings, and their sense of security. So many people in Lexington and throughout the state have ties to these areas, whether it’s family, friends, or personal roots. This is our chance to come together and help our neighbors in their time of need. Your kindness and support are truly making a difference for those who are living through this devastating experience.”
If you are unable to stop by this weekend, donations can be dropped off at the Executive Drive location Monday-Friday between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. For those who prefer to make a financial contribution, donations can also be made online at www.arh.org/floods to support flood relief efforts directly. 100% of all monetary donations go directly to those impacted by the floods.
