First Newborn of 2018 Arrives at Middlesboro ARH Hospital
Middlesboro ARH Hospital welcomed its first baby of the new year born on January 1, 2018.
At 6:19 p.m., Dr. John Williamson, board certified OB-GYN, delivered Edwin Allen Sinkhorn. He weighed 6 pounds and 4.8 ounces, and was 19 inches long. Parents are Marcus Sinkhorn and Ciera Webb. The family resides in Pineville, Ky.
Excited after the birth of their son Edwin Allen, Ciera shared, “I want to thank Dr. Williamson and all the OB nurses for the great care we received. This was my first child, and even though I had a long labor, the nurses stayed with me and were simply wonderful!”
As the first baby born at Middlesboro ARH in 2018, the hospital gave Edwin and his family a large, baby bathtub full of items every baby needs including a baby monitor.
The Middlesboro Food City continues to join Middlesboro ARH in recognizing the first newborn of the year. Food City Manager Richard Smith gave Edwin and his parents a $100 gift card and a basket with several Food City Baby Club items.
