Lunch & Learn Set for April 30
Middlesboro ARH Hospital invites ladies in the community to its women’s health series called Lunch &Learn.
Lunch & Learn offers insight and tips on a variety of women’s health issues. On Thursday, April 30, Middlesboro ARH Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Manager Jennifer Owens will speak on “Fall Proofing Your Home.” According to the National Institute of Health, six out of every 10 falls happen at home, where we spend much of our time and tend to move around without thinking about our safety. Many of these falls could be prevented by making simple changes. Owens will identify these changes so you can fall proof your home.
Owens earned her Associate’s of Science in Nursing at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and graduated with honors, receiving the Excellence of Nursing Award and the Work Ethics Award. She joined Middlesboro ARH Hospital in 2008 as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department and became a clinical nurse manager in 2011.
Adult women of all ages are invited to join ARH staff for the Lunch & Learn series. The lunch will be held in the hospital classroom, which is located near the MRI entrance at the back of the hospital. Lunch will be served at noon with the program starting at 12:15 p.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. There will be a drawing for a door prize.
Ladies, to reserve your lunch, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 606.242.1222. Due to limited seating, reservations are required.
